after acceptance requirements

PLEASE REMMEBR I AM A STUDENT I AM NOT THE ONE YOU SHOULD BE FOLLOWING THIS IS ONLY FOR GUIDANCE AS SOME PROGRAM MANAGERS OFFER NO HELP. BUT MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW YOU EMAILS AND IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THEN MAYBE THIS CAN.

  1.  ---->> November 6th, admission coordinator called and stated i got accepted and next he will send me a link to pay 500 for enrollment spot, and orientation information, Orientation information is set for December 2nd, 2024, 9am to 3pm, and also that I will have to set up my Apu account and was given my student ID number. Also, I noticed on my account now it says waiting for final official transcript from my community college? I'm waiting for reply not sure if this happens to everyone. will update later on this. turns out they said i didnt need to but i did for my lass classes.

    -->> November 22 2024. Admission coordinator contacted me and asked why I haven't enrolled in classes and if I was going to continue with there school. I told him no one told me how to do it and my advisement report is not showing my completed credits so it difficult to even make out what classes I shoukd even take. And I'm not even allowed to enroll yet even when my enrollment date was in begining of November. He advised me to figure it out at orientation.. most likely I'm going to have to go in person to speak to counselor or academic advisor becuase this is confusing...even with going to oreientation no questions were answered, we were given a paper that tells us what classes we will be taking each semester i had to enroll by myself each class, so enroll once they give you the class program map at oreintation.

  2. --> november 12th,2024 I contacted my admission coordinator and it was an error on the having to submitt my official transcript again, however I spoke to my ELAC community college counselor and was advised since im still taking classes and will not finish until December 15 2024, I should resend my official transcript to get the credit I needed to not take again in APU. Now for the APU account its home.apu.edu log in screen, I had already set this up when i was trying to make my application for the LVN to BSN so I already had an account, but if you need help in setting up your account you can contact (626) 815-5050 i believe that for Monrovia location not sure if that for Azuza location. you'll need your ID number and last four digits of your social.

  3. you will need to access you Azusa Gmail, so once you go onto your apu account set up your Gmail account because that's is where they will send you information and emails to. I did not know until later on, so please make sure to get you Gmail Apu mail set up.

  4. you program manager once you start receiving emails from her to you Apu Gmail you will receive links for the following:
    • Student ID card for free link and a Nursing student id card, you will need both the nursing student card is $ 5.00 , you will first follow the directions on the email, first download the app it tells you take picture and wait for approval once approved then you use the link to request for you ID cards , when the form populates you will check mark the APU id student and the Nursing ID card on the same form. under graduate professional not undergraduate.
    • Sling shot books: disenroll from as we are now using ATI no longer using slingshot books, they will send you an email from slingshot when you do just click on the link and disenroll from there webpage.
    • la fire card:   email your program manager the la fire card as you will not upload this on castle branch
    •  castle branch: you will upload every requirement including a drug test urine, background check and clinical requirements. your program manager will give you an email regarding the package codes, make sure you look at the correct years as she gives you a file that has past years codes and next year codes. they will not issue a refund if you accident pick last years code. so pay attention.  this code will have both the drug test code and the background check code .
    • son student website   SON Student Website is where you will always be, you need to follow all the directions on there. so you need to enroll in the training modules complete everything and download certificate to upload to castle branch and some to canvas.
      • you wil start at SON Clinical Training 2024-2025 Canvas Courses. click enroll and sign in through your apu username and password there it will redirect you to canvas where you now click the school of nursing training and start the implicit bias impliactions after finishing both course you should have  certificates for CLAS in nursing and CLAS in maternal health care.
      • then you will continue on the same canvas and go to the next and complete all certificate for in the end you should have CLAS nursing training, CLAS maternal health care, bloodborne pathogens, HIPPA, Aerosol transmissible diseases, workplace violence prevention.  once complete you have satisfied the SON clinical training 2024 - 2025 canvas courses.  some certificate will be uploaded to castle branch, and some will be uploaded to canvas.
      • then you head back to son student website and the next link you will do is the student date questionnaire, (no you don't need to upload the fire card there if you already have it then you can, but our program manager wanted the fire card specifically emailed to her)
      • once you complete that form head back to son student website and go to the clinical compliance with castle branch an complio., make sure you click the link for new student as they will give you a code  for your program, again make sure you use the code for the year your entering and future for example  they had a file for 2024-2025 and gave us a code for the UDTP RN BSN and it was wrong may student paid for this and did not get a refund, I use the one that said 2025 and foward. it also has you drug test code there,,  you need to create and account and make sure to follow the emails sent by your program, manager and start uploading evrything ASAP. 
      • once some of it is done head back to Son student website and scroll down to student handbook open it and there you should be able to download sign and upload to castlebranch. make sure you pick the correct program the following documents are specifically for this UPTD lvn to rn bsn. keep note that this can change each semester it may be different so follow you  student website directions.
    • canvas:  once you enrolled into the training program you will also have clinical boarding assignment in canvas, you must wait untill you get assigned by your program manager the clinical site and then go on to canvas and click the module canvas clinical onboarding and download the documents sign and upload there specifically for the class for example my class is 107 so  those documents i have to upload on canvas to class 107.
    • Reina scrubs: she will provide you a link with where to buy the scrubs as they are specific one for APU you cannot pick any you want. you also get to order you scrubs that you dont get to try on during orientation you may go to there el monte location to try on , they are named reina scrubs, Reina Medical Uniforms Azusa Pacific Embroidered Scrub Tops | Free Shipping over $99.99 they specifically have scrubs for APU embroidered, so make sure you select that  ( keep in mind that this can change  for different semester so please wait until you get directions from your program manager.
    • ATI books:  program manager will email you with the link and to pay 1304 for the book and for you to pick up from the school once payment is made. 
    • finacial aid.  Make sure to be on top of your financial aid as no one really guides you, makes sure you apply for APU in the fasfa, make sure you do the master promissory note after you complete your fasfa application. and stay on top of you apu home springboard account under financial to accept the loans given and makes sure to sign. also i was told that i did not qualify for grants for two reason which was a lie,, so i had to send them screen shots  that i still qualified and that i did not exceed the amount yet or make alot to not qualify you have to be on top of this. please continue to call them.

  1. how much was the tuition for LVN TO RN? and how many years will it be? is there a break? or is it spring summer fall winter? thanks

    1. its 60 grand in total for 2 years. split in 3 semesters, ranging from 8 - 13 thousand per semester.. its spring, summer fall, you get couple weeks inbetween spring to summer and then break between summer to fall, im not sure about fall to spring as im not there yet.
