COSTS

•  September 20,2024, I added apu to my financial aid form online.  
•  on 10/14/2024. My application states payment waived 45.00 for the application fee (not sure if everyone receives this, if you don't that will be another payment to add when you apply for application) 
•  11/ 6/ 2024 Enrollment Deposit $500 non-refundable enrollment deposit to secure your spot for the Spring 2025 cohort is due by Wednesday, November 13th, 2024. On that date, any students who have not paid their deposit will forfeit their spot in the Spring 2025 cohort. (must be paid to save your spot)  
• reina scrubs embroidered tops and pants 80 bucks to more depending on style. not including shipping. I paid for 5 shirts and 5 bottoms and was $325.80.  
•  80 - 90 bucks for castle branch background package, it runs your background and keeps track of all documents submitted.
•  30 grand per year for the average student. mine reflecting 11000 just for spring. waiting for financial aid to kick in and if im getting grants available. i will update more on this.  My financial aid kicked in  and was covered  but i have $5000 i still owe, i am waiting to see if i qualify for grants as I had to call financial aid and they told me i did not qualify and that i exceeded my grant funding which was lie so they have to fix it now. BE ON TOP OF YOUR FINANCIAL AID NO ONE WILL HELP YOU NOT EVEN SOME PROGRAM REPS.
• BLS card $ 60 1-hour  phone number you can text 909.720.6538 ask for Mike Quintero, , same day bls card given via email. It is where I got mine.
•   -->>70 dollars for drug test by LabCorp 
•  -->> school id $5
•  -->> fit test $75, you can take it at APU or at workplace or any place that gives you a FIT test
•  -->> la fire card $70  I only got the basic one it done online 4 hour zoom meeting Fire Safety Online Class (Basic) | LA Fire Card, the students said this next link is 55 dollars when using APUFIRE code https://www.la-hfsi.com/registration 4 hours class as well.
• ATI books $1,034.00 first part of semester not sure if it is the whole year coverage or both years or just for this semester spring will update later on this update another 1000 dollars for ATI on April 1st 2025 ( so it was like 4 months apart) I was told this was that last payment for ATI. I will update if any more.
• first payment for semester is like 1000 to 2000 that is required payment even before your  finacial aid kicks in.. so even if your waiting for you financial aid and it will cover that payment you still have to make that payment. for me it was due january 1 2025.(update :: total caost was like 11 grand just for the first semester, with financial aid and the pell grant  i ended up with like owing 1900 , so they required me to pay the first of january  2025 and then they split my payments automatically to reflect that remaining balance of 500 i have to pay feb1, march1,  and april1.)March 2025 I was given back 600 dollars because I qualified for a grant so they refunded me that back . 
• ive had to buy stethoscope with a bell  and diaphragm and manual blod pressure cuff, clipboord that fold  and that you can put in you nursing scrub pocket, o2 saturation monitor, temperature monitor, black or white shoes that are nonporous. under shirt can only be white and sweater can only be white wine color or black. so all together easily 100-500 dollars.

I suggest you do what you can do  before your orientation as they only give about 2 weeks to 3 to complete including you immunizations, tb test,  fit test, physical so you can take physical form after they give it to you, bls  card, ..
